- Associate Veterinarian - Practice Real Medicine Again
Description
Pine Animal Hospital in Long Beach, California is looking for an associate veterinarian who wants to practice thoughtful, medicine-first small animal care in an independent, doctor-led hospital.
This is not a production-pressure, script-driven, corporate-style position. We are looking for a veterinarian who still cares about doing good medicine, working up cases properly, communicating clearly with clients, and collaborating with a real medical team.
Our hospital is built around practical support for high-quality general practice and urgent care, including:
- In-house laboratory
- Digital radiography
- Dental radiography
- Point-of-care ultrasound
- Rapid cytology
- Integrated medical records
- Dedicated technician support
- Same-day and next-day care
- Specialist relationships when cases need deeper support
- Collaborative case discussion and mentorship
Pine Animal Hospital is independently owned and doctor-led. Decisions are made locally, with patients, clients, doctors, and staff in mind.
This role may be a strong fit for a veterinarian who is 2–10 years into practice, enjoys working with medical cases, wants to keep growing clinically, and is frustrated by production pressure, corporate mandates, or cookie-cutter medicine.
We are especially interested in veterinarians who want to practice excellent small animal medicine in a supportive, collaborative environment where autonomy, judgment, communication, and clinical growth matter.
