Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal health and welfare, with the ability to provide exceptional medical care across a variety of species. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing illnesses in animals, ensuring their well-being and comfort. The Veterinarian will work closely with pet owners and our veterinary team to deliver comprehensive veterinary services in a professional and caring environment.
Duties
Conduct thorough physical examinations of animals to assess health status
Diagnose medical conditions through clinical assessments and laboratory tests
Administer treatments, medications, vaccines, and perform surgical procedures as needed
Utilize veterinary terminology accurately in documentation and communication
Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
Perform animal catheterization, aseptic techniques, and other specialized procedures
Provide pet grooming, animal husbandry, and basic pet care advice to clients
Assist with laboratory work related to diagnostics and research
Manage emergency cases requiring veterinary critical care experience
Educate pet owners on animal health, nutrition, and preventive care strategies
Maintain detailed medical records adhering to veterinary standards
Qualifications
Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice veterinary medicine
Proven veterinary experience with emphasis on animal care and treatment procedures
Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology
Experience in animal restraint, dog handling
Skills in animal husbandry, pet care, and laboratory diagnostics are highly desirable
Ability to handle diverse species including small animals and equine patients (if applicable)
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
Ability to work effectively under pressure in emergency situations
Prior experience with aseptic techniques, laboratory procedures, and advanced animal handling is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
