Are you ready to launch into a new direction in your career? The Animal Medical Clinic, located on the Space Coast of Florida, may be the opportunity you are seeking! We have a great group of doctors on our team and are looking to add to our staff to allow for continued growth. Established in Melbourne in 1964, we are privately owned – and intend to stay that way. Our practice has grown consistently, and over the last 10 years we have added practices in Indialantic and Melbourne Beach. A fourth practice is currently under construction in West Melbourne. This growth has brought the need for an additional veterinarian at our staff.
All of our locations are well equipped to serve the needs of those who wish to practice high quality medicine. The hospitals feature ultrasound, digital radiology, an in-house lab, a surgery suite, and an extensive computer network. We believe in investing in technology, practicing high quality medicine and providing exceptional client service. The staff is well-trained, hard-working, and efficient. We work together as a team, and have fun along the way. We care about each other, and collaborate with each other, keeping each other’s best interest in mind. We are proud to be a VMG practice, and all of our practices are AAHA-accredited.
The Space Coast is a unique place to live and work. Nestled between the St. John’s River and the Atlantic Ocean, it affords every water sport and outdoor activity you could possibly desire. Not to mention amazing sunrises and sunsets! The City of Melbourne and the surrounding towns have numerous and convenient shopping, dining, and entertainment venues, and the attractions in Orlando, Tampa and Miami are a short car or train ride away. The area is known for its space and high-tech industries, and the clients are well-educated and seek high quality veterinary care for their pets. It’s a great place to live, work and enjoy the best Florida has to offer. Watching a rocket launch from your front yard or watching the dolphins and manatees swim in the rivers never gets old!
Compensation begins with a guaranteed base salary with bonuses added based on production. Full time doctors also receive a package of benefits that includes DEA and Florida licenses, continuing education allowance, discounted pet care, paid time off, association dues, health insurance, professional liability insurance, veterinary license defense coverage, VIN account access, 401k match, AI scribe and paid holidays. We welcome you to the team with a purposeful, structured, written mentoring plan conducted by Dr. Godwin designed with the goal of teaching you everything that we know. This mentoring program has been effective in training and helping our doctors to be very successful. We are really excited about setting you up to be amazing colleagues and doctors.
Requirements
If you are a team player with good communication skills, the ability to multi-task and a love for people and pets, you might be a good fit at Animal Medical Clinic. We would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you and discuss that possibility. In order to assist with good work-life balance, the total scheduled hours are flexible. We close at 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and at noon on Saturday. There are no after-hours emergencies and no non-client urgent cares added on top of a full schedule. New graduates are welcome.
