We are looking to add a third full-time veterinarian to a team that is passionate about veterinary medicine and high-quality patient care and client education. We currently have a unique opportunity to significantly expand the already rapidly growing exotics caseload, and are seeking a candidate interested in taking on a key role in this expansion. Dr. Wolk has over 15 years of experience in canine, feline, and exotic pet medicine and loves to mentor cases and collaborate with other doctors within the practice. Kingdom Animal Hospital is a spacious, well-equipped purpose-built facility with six+ exam rooms and multiple treatment areas. We offer Cuattro HD full body Radiography and Ultrasound Imaging, and utilize Heska + Abaxis in-house laboratories. We are currently operating on Impromed Software but will be transitioning to Pulse within the next few months. We perform diagnostics in-house whenever possible including general bloodwork, fecal parasite centrifugation and gram stains, FNA/cytology, and bacterial culture/sensitivity. Anesthesia vaporizers are sevoflurane with active scavenging system, and all anesthesia patients are continuously monitored on Bionet ECG/Temp, SpO2, RR, and CO2 monitoring system. We provide excellent dental health care utilizing Midmark Dental Xray, and an IM3 Pro2000 Dental Cart with high-speed/low-speed drills and 42-12 Scaler.
Holland is a beautiful small city with a strong diversified local economy located about 30 minutes south west of Grand Rapids on the sandy shore of Lake Michigan. No on-call required. Part time position available if desired. We value work-life balance, and any schedule would allow enjoyment of the lakeshore lifestyle Holland has to offer.
The ideal candidate will have the confidence to “jump right in” and participate in patient care and case management. Experience or interest in exotic pet medicine is valued, but not required. Training, mentorship, and guidance is provided under Dr. Kendra Wolk. DVM degree, Michigan Veterinary License, and excellent communication skills are required.
