Our team provides extensive mentorship and guidance, and we encourage you to learn more about the areas you are passionate about. If there is a service we do not currently offer, we strive to incorporate it into practice to provide the best medical care possible.
As a certified veterinary technician with Mahoning Valley Veterinary Centre you will be responsible for:
- Holding a diploma in Veterinary Technology and maintaining current licensure (required)
- Bringing a minimum of two years of experience as a veterinary technician (required)
- Consistently applying Fear Free handling techniques with every patient
- Performing dental prophylaxis, monitoring anesthesia, and managing pain confidently
- Demonstrating proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and digital radiography
- Collecting, preparing, and processing samples for laboratory testing
- Capturing high-quality radiographs and ensuring proper positioning and safety
- Ensuring compliance with all DEA and OSHA standards and protocols
- Navigating practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency
- Communicating effectively with clients and fostering strong interpersonal relationships
- Exhibiting excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail

We strive to provide you with this balance by offering flexible hours and part-time options. Our hours are Monday/Thursday, 7:30 AM–6:30 PM, Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday, 7:30 AM–5 PM and Saturday 8 AM-12 PM. Evenings and Sundays are reserved for you and your time! In addition to flexible scheduling we offer:
- Salary: $18.00-$20.00 commensurate with experience
