Job Title: Licensed Veterinary Technician (a.k.a. Small-Town Animal Hero)

What You'll Do

• Assist the veterinarian with exams, surgeries, and everything in between
• Provide gentle, hands-on care to patients who may know you better than their own mail carrier
• Administer medications, vaccines, and plenty of reassurance
• Collect samples (yes, even the glamorous ones)
• Monitor anesthesia and recovery like the calm, capable pro you are
• Take radiographs while keeping things low-stress for both pets and people
• Keep accurate medical records (because in a small town, continuity is everything)
• Build lasting relationships with clients-you'll watch pets grow up, grow old, and everything in between
• Offer guidance and education with warmth, patience, and zero judgment

• A current Licensed Veterinary Technician credential

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician.

• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT)
• licensure based on state requirements.

• Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
• Experience with surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.

• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.

• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.

• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
