Description
Seeking small animal emergency veterinarian for a new hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah opening fall 2026. Initial goal team is 6 full time ER veterinarians to rotate shifts (day, swing, nights) for 24/7 emergency department. Specialty services to be offered include internal medicine, surgery, and critical care on opening day. Active recruitment of additional specialties at this time.
Facility will be 12,000SF initially (phase 1), with total build out over first 3 years to include 20,000 SF. Advanced imaging will include CT and MRI. Open floorplan to encourage collaboration between ER DVMs and specialists. Dedicated ICU with oxygen kennels, high flow oxygen administration, cat ward, ventilator capabilities, point of care ultrasound, and 2 radiology suites.

Position is salary of $200,000 + quarterly team bonuses.

**The state of Utah no longer is legally allowed to enforce contracts with non-competes signed after May 6, 2026. Our founders testified on capitol hill advocating for this bill to remove veterinary non-competes. Requirements
As a emergency veterinarian we hope to elevate your skills! Emergency surgery and endoscopy encouraged (if comfortable) or supervision/training provided. May have overnight responsibility for ventilator cases with access to boarded critical care DVM by phone for case assistance. Job position is for full time and will rotate between day, swing, and night blocks evenly. Previous ER experience, internship, or mentorship program desirable. Expectation of applicant to collaborate with team and community members (referring veterinary professionals).
