Since 1996, Valley Central Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center (VCVREC), a privately owned, 24/7 AAHA accredited specialty and emergency hospital located in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, is currently seeking Experienced Emergency Veterinary Technicians. We are a fast paced and growing Center currently seeking to fill part-time and full-time positions in our Emergency Department.
VCVREC provides advanced specialty and emergency care in Acupuncture, Behavior, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Surgery. Our team is committed to delivering the highest standard of medicine while maintaining a compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient and client care.
Our modern 12,000 square foot facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities including digital radiography, full anesthesia and patient monitoring systems, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, Vimago 3D HD CT imaging, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, in house blood bank, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, endoscopy, and more.
Located in eastern Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley offers the perfect balance of professional opportunity and quality of life. We are seeking full-time and part-time experienced veterinary technicians and certified veterinary technicians who have a desire to save and improve pet lives. We have both daytime, mid-shifts, and overnight positions available. CVT is preferred but a minimum of 1-year veterinary technician experience is a must.
Qualifications:
- Experienced as a Veterinary Technician (credentialed or non-credentialed)
- Proficiency in basic technical skills (IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, lab work, triage, etc.)
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
- A strong work ethic
- Passion for patient care and client support
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, swing shift, and holidays as needed
Responsibilities:
- As an ER Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our emergency doctors and patients across different services
- Perform and support inpatient and outpatient care, including triage, diagnostics, treatments, and discharges
- Manage labs, bloodwork, radiographs, and medication administration (IV, IM, SQ, oral)
- Perform CPR, administer oxygen, and stabilize critical patients in emergency situations
- Accurately dose and administer critical care drugs, fluids, and pain management.
- Provide clear, compassionate client communication and education
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient logs (SOAPs)
- Monitor hospitalized patients, collaborate on rounds, and support overnight emergencies (if applicable)

We are currently offering a $5000.00 Sign-On Bonus to qualified CVT candidates
$2000.00 Sign-on Bonus for NON CVTs with minimum 2-year ER experience.
