Feline & Exotic Practice

We are a busy, feline and small mammal practice located on Long Island, NY. Our hospital is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to cats and exotic companion mammals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, and more. We value gentle handling, client education, and a strong team-based approach.

Schedule: Mix of morning and evening shifts (as early as 8 AM, as late as 7 PM); includes some weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications to hospitalized patients (feline and exotic)
• Assist in blood draws, catheter placements, intubation, and surgical prep
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgeries and dental procedures
• Take and assist with digital radiography
• Practice safe and gentle restraint techniques
• Dispense medications and educate clients on at-home care (syringe feeding, SQ fluids, etc.)

Salary commensurate with experience

Requirements

• Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in NYS or license-eligible
• 1+ year of veterinary experience preferred (not required)
• Comfort with feline and exotic species is a plus, but we will train the right candidate
