Catskill Veterinary Services is seeking experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) to join our team as we strategically expand our specialty and emergency care.

You will be instrumental in supporting our high-volume caseload and paving the way for our incoming board-certified specialists (Surgeon, Internist, Criticalist). Your expertise will elevate the standard of care for the region.

Required Skill Sets: Technicians as Clinical Leaders
You will be supported by a powerhouse team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) and experienced assistants. We require proficiency in the following:
- Emergency & Critical Care
- Life Support: Proficiency in RECOVER CPR protocols.
- Fluid & Medication Management: Accurate calculation and maintenance of Constant Rate Infusions (CRIs).
- Access: Placement and maintenance of advanced access lines, including Central Lines and Jugular Catheters.
- Transfusion Medicine: Administration and monitoring of blood products.
- Triage & Monitoring: Expert patient triage and detailed patient monitoring.
- Anesthesia & Surgery
Anesthesia: High-level, multi-parameter anesthesia monitoring for complex procedures.
Pain Management: Implementation of advanced pre-, intra-, and post-operative pain management protocols.
Surgical Assistance: Proficient patient prep, maintenance of sterile technique, and assisting the surgeon during procedures.
Diagnostics & Internal Medicine
Sample Collection: Proficiency in atraumatic sampling and phlebotomy (blood draws).
Imaging Support: Assisting the Internist/DVMs with advanced diagnostics, including abdominal ultrasoundsand endoscopic biopsies.
In-House Lab: Execution of stat and advanced in-house diagnostics.
What We Are Looking For:
- Credentials: Current New York State LVT license (or ability to obtain one).
- Experience: Proven experience in a Specialty, ER, or Tertiary Referral Center is highly valued.
- Technical Mastery: Expertise in high-level patient monitoring, advanced technical skills, and complex case management.
- Collaboration: A professional who views our referring GP/ER vets as partners and is ready to serve as a clinical leader and mentor.
