Description
The Windham County Humane Society (WCHS) is a progressive animal welfare organization based in Brattleboro, Vermont. In addition to its adoption and sheltering programs, WCHS operates a Community Veterinary Clinic that provides wellness exams, vaccination clinics, and spay/neuter surgeries for owned pets—focusing especially on helping pet owners with financial challenges care for their animals.
Each year, the clinic’s dedicated team performs over 800 spay/neuter surgeries and provides wellness services to nearly 400 animals. Our veterinarians are supported by a talented and compassionate team of veterinary technicians, assistants, customer service representatives, and volunteers.
To meet growing community demand, we are seeking a dynamic, mission-driven part-time veterinarian to work one to two days per week—ideally on Tuesdays and Fridays. Proficiency in spay/neuter surgery is preferred; however, on-site training in high-volume, high-quality (HVHQ) techniques is available.
The position offers a starting wage of $55–$65 per hour, commensurate with experience. Applicants must hold a current Vermont veterinary license.
