Description
Veterinarian - Academy Animal HospitalLocation: Solana Beach, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
At Academy Animal Hospital, your day might start with a dog with an ear infection, followed by a cat with inappropriate urinary issues, and then two newly adopted guinea pigs. For each of these half hour appointments, one of our experienced nurses or veterinary technicians would create an estimate for you, run all diagnostics, administer any vaccines, and perform any treatments. Your client service representative would also input your patient's pre-veterinary questionnaire and start their emotional medical record, since we are a Fear Free Certified hospital. An AI program would record your medical notes. For your first patient, our in-vue would automatically interpret your patient's ear cytology. For your second patient, our sedivue would automatically interpret your patient's urinalysis. And for your guinea pigs (or any exotic patients), the medical director would happily provide mentorship or guidance. For each case, you would be empowered to focus on diagnosing and treating your patient.
If you choose to help out with our small on-site wildlife hospital, you might apply a wing wrap to a crow with a fractured clavicle over your lunch break. Or you might decide to take an hour-long lunch since you do not have any records to type up.
At Academy Animal Hospital you can practice ethical, interesting, fear-free medicine with dogs, cats, exotics and wildlife ... and still leave work on time. If this sounds like a dream to you, please send your CV and cover letter to stacey.clark@amerivet.com
