About The Hospital

At Anthony Wayne Animal Hospital, we offer primary and urgent care, boarding, and grooming services for dogs and cats in Maumee, Perrysburg, Rossford, and other surrounding Toledo areas. We are proud to be AVMA-accredited and feline-friendly certified.

Your Experience & Skills

• At least one year of recent experience in veterinary practice or medical environment, with increasing responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.
• Ability to properly restrain patients.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately manage and record detailed information in medical records and other data management systems.
• Knowledge of spelling and meaning of commonly used veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted without direct supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• A commitment to outstanding client service.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stay on task and work energetically for an entire shift, sometimes exceeding 10 hours per day.

You’re Willing And Able To

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $15-17/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
