Experienced Surgical Veterinary Technician wanted for a well-supported day-shift surgery department. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys anesthesia, surgical flow, and hands-on patient care in a specialty setting.

Compensation

• Hourly Pay: $23-$28/hr (based on credentials and anesthesia/surgical experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: $1,500
  (Final offer considers skill level, experience, and location)

About You

You’re a veterinary technician who takes pride in patient safety, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical care. You value teamwork, clear communication, and having your technical skills respected and utilized.

Required Experience & Skills

• Required: Minimum 1 year of anesthesia experience in specialty setting or 5+ years in GP setting
• Emergency or specialty hospital background
• Credentials: CVT/LVT/RVT preferred, not required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Professional, positive, and reliable demeanor
• Veterinary anesthesia
• Surgical nursing
• Patient recovery
• Specialty veterinary care

What You’ll Do

• Support veterinarians during surgical procedures in accordance with Florida practice act
• Monitor anesthesia and provide peri-operative patient care
• Assist with patient admission, preparation, and recovery
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate with clients regarding patient care and medications
• Keep treatment and surgical areas clean, sterile, and organized
• Mentor and support fellow technicians when needed
