At St. Georges Veterinary Hospital, we are passionate about the care we provide to our patients and clients. We are looking for a Veterinary Technician to support our goal of creating healthier lives for our patients and their families. At St. Georges Veterinary Hospital, our technicians work closely with our veterinarians and are involved in the diagnosis and treatment plan for our patients. As an experienced veterinary technician, you already know what it takes to be a successful veterinary professional. The ideal candidate will be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint, have knowledge of x-ray and positioning, understands the importance of client education, place IV catheters, draw blood and run bloodwork, and is a positive and supportive team player. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing, and St. Georges Veterinary Hospital encourages its staff to do the same. - 2 + years of veterinary experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Knowledge of vaccines and administering them
- Experience in dispensing and administering medication
- Able to obtain a complete patient history and maintain medical records
- Pharmacology calculations and surgical experience (prep, monitor, recovery, etc.)
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Positive team player willing to continue to learn
Pay Range: $22.00- $26.00 based on experience
