Thrive Pet Healthcare - Legacy is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our supportive, patient-focused team. This is a hands-on clinical role ideal for technicians who enjoy working collaboratively, delivering excellent patient care, and being part of a positive, team-oriented hospital environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in daily patient care by:

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Supporting anesthesia, surgical assisting, and post-operative care
• Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures
• Monitoring anesthetic patients (ASA I-III)
• Collecting laboratory samples and performing in-house diagnostics
• Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records
• Maintaining clean, organized, and sterile treatment, exam, and lab areas
• Using safe restraint techniques to ensure patient and team safety
• Working collaboratively with technicians, assistants, and doctors to support smooth patient flow

What We’re Looking For

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience
• CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting
• Strong attention to detail and clinical observation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-quality general practice

About the Hospital

Thrive Pet Healthcare - Legacy provides primary care for cats and dogs throughout Plano, Allen, Dallas, Richardson, and The Colony, including nearby neighborhoods such as Deerfield, Whiffletree, Forest Creek Estates, Hunters Glen, and Watters Crossing.

Our services include wellness exams, vaccines, sick and illness visits, preventive diagnostics, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, spay/neuter and mass removal surgeries, and preventive dental care. We prioritize low-stress handling to create a positive experience for pets and their families.
