Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian to join our growing criticalist-led team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse range of emergency and critical cases and providing high-quality patient care. They will work closely with experienced specialists from various disciplines, as well as veterinarians and veterinary nurses in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing care of complex cases, with a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for every patient and their family.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform timely assessment, triage, and stabilization of emergency patients and establish appropriate diagnostic and treatment priorities
• Manage hospitalized and critically ill patients, including ongoing monitoring, reassessment, and adjustment of treatment as required
• Accurately document patient condition and vital signs throughout treatment and hospitalization
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and infection control are maintained
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on diagnostic results and individual patient needs
• Perform emergency procedures and interventions as required
• Communicate effectively with pet owners and referring veterinarians, providing clear updates on diagnosis, treatment options and prognosis
• Prioritize and manage the caseload effectively throughout each shift and delegate tasks appropriately to nursing staff
• Work collaboratively with veterinarians, specialists, and veterinary nurses to ensure continuity of care, high clinical standards, and positive patient outcomes 
• Fulfil rostered day and night shifts as part of the 24-hour emergency and critical care service

Requirements

• Possess a Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
• Eligible for a Singapore veterinary licence with Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), NParks
• Strong clinical experience in emergency medicine, patient stabilization, diagnostics, and critical care
• Strong clinical judgement and ability to independently assess and manage emergency and critical cases
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise tasks, and manage time efficiently
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
