Description
General Practice Veterinarian, Privately-Owned
$130,000–$180,000 Base Salary + Production + Sign-On Bonus + Benefits + Relocation
We've built the kind of General Practice we believe veterinarians deserve: one where you are surrounded by people who want to see you succeed, equipped with the tools to practice excellent medicine, and supported by colleagues across General Practice, Emergency & Critical Care, and multiple specialties.
- Have a case you want another perspective on? A specialist is just across the hall.
- Want to strengthen your surgical or dental skills? Let's build a path to get you there.
- Interested in pursuing ABVP certication? We'll support you.
- Already an experienced veterinarian who knows exactly how you want to practice? We respect that, too.
Whether you’re beginning your career and looking for meaningful mentorship and collaboration, or bringing years of experience and looking for a team that supports your level of medicine, you’ll be surrounded by people who believe great medicine is better practiced together.
Veterinary Healthcare Associates is a privately owned, veterinarian-owned practice that has served Central Florida for more than 30 years.
On our 10-acre campus in Winter Haven, Florida, our stand-alone General Practice sits alongside a 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care and Referral Specialty hospital. Our veterinarians don’t work in silos; they have an entire ecosystem of medicine around them.
As a VHA General Practitioner, you’ll have access to:
- A spacious, modern 10,000 sq. ft. General Practice
- A fully equipped two table dental suite and dedicated post-operative recovery ward
- Advanced diagnostics and treatment modalities including 64-slice CT, 1.5-Tesla MRI, HBOT, and rehabilitation in our specialty hospital
- An adjacent 24/7 Emergency & Specialty Referral center
- Direct collaboration with Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, and Anesthesiology
Depending on your interests, experience, and competency, your practice can include:
- Comprehensive wellness, preventive, and primary care
- Urgent care and more complex medical case management
- Advanced dentistry and dental procedures
- Soft tissue surgery with opportunities to develop more advanced surgical skills
- Select orthopedic procedures based on training and competency \
- Internal medicine and appropriate oncology case management with specialist collaboration
- Advanced diagnostics and continuity of care across GP, Emergency, Critical Care, and Specialty services
Your growth here doesn’t have to follow a predetermined path. Develop an area of clinical interest, learn through collaboration with experienced GPs and specialists, or pursue ABVP certification with mentorship and professional development toward credentialing.
And when a patient requires a higher level of care, our Specialty and Emergency teams are right here, allowing for continuity of care without leaving the VHA ecosystem.
