Veterinary Specialists of the Rockies is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Internal Medicine Department in Castle Rock, Colorado. As an Internal Medicine RVT, you’ll work closely with board-certified internists and fellow technicians to provide high-quality care to complex and critically ill patients. You’ll play an integral role in diagnostics, treatment, patient monitoring, client communication, and overall patient care while helping clients navigate challenging medical situations with compassion and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with exams, triage, and treatments
- Client communication and education
- Safely and low-stress handling and restraining patients
- Support patient stabilization and monitoring
- Collect diagnostic samples and assist with radiographs, lab work, and ultrasound
- Communicate with clients and provide discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records
This position is available full-time or part-time with a flexible schedule. The primary Internal Medicine shifts are Mondays and Tuesdays, with additional set days available to support the Emergency team.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $24 – $31 based on experience

Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of a veterinary technician experience, preferred in Emergency or Specialty
- Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of Colorado
Proficient in the following skills:
- Client communication and education
- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- IVC placement and venipuncture
- In-house lab work
- High-quality patient care
- Accurate medical record documentation and TPRs
- CT experience is preferred but not required
