- Licenced Veterinary Technician
Description
Great medicine starts with a great team.
At Willow Tree Animal Hospital, we believe exceptional veterinary care begins with a team that genuinely enjoys working together. We're looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician who shares our commitment to excellent medicine, meaningful teamwork, and a workplace where people feel supported, respected, and valued.
We're a privately owned, four-doctor, AAHA Accredited and Fear Free Certified veterinary hospital. We're proud of the medicine we practice, but equally proud of the team we've built.
Our Culture Is Something Special
One of the things we love most about Willow Tree is our people. Our team genuinely likes one another, and it shows. We laugh together, joke around, celebrate successes, and step up for each other when the day gets challenging.
But while we don't take ourselves too seriously, we take our patient care and professional responsibilities very seriously.
We hold ourselves and each other accountable to high standards of medicine, communication, and patient advocacy. We believe a strong team is built on mutual respect, trust, shared responsibility, and a willingness to help one another improve.
Learning and teaching are central to our culture. We value people who are curious, receptive to feedback, and motivated to continually develop their skills. Just as importantly, we believe knowledge should be shared. Our LVTs play an essential role in mentoring veterinary assistants, teaching technical skills, and helping the entire team grow.
We're intentional about preserving this culture as we grow, and we're looking for someone who will contribute to it.
Who We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate is a compassionate, capable technician who takes pride in their work and understands that being a great teammate is just as important as having great technical skills.
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Hold a Washington State veterinary technician license or are eligible for licensure.
- Are passionate about high-quality medicine, patient advocacy, and Fear Free handling.
- Communicate with kindness, honesty, and professionalism.
- Take initiative, follow through on responsibilities, and support your coworkers.
- Are eager to learn and enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring others.
- Can stay organized and adaptable in a busy veterinary environment.
- Value accountability and are comfortable both giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Bring a collaborative spirit, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor.
Experienced technicians and newly licensed LVTs are both encouraged to apply. We value clinical ability, but we also recognize that skills can be developed. Character, accountability, and a genuine commitment to teamwork are what make someone a lasting part of our team.
Your Skills Matter Here
We believe licensed veterinary technicians are essential members of the medical team—not simply assistants to the doctors.
We want our technicians to use their training, exercise their clinical judgment within their scope of practice, advocate for their patients, and actively contribute to the quality of medicine we provide.
Our AAHA accreditation and Fear Free certification reflect our commitment to thoughtful, evidence-based medicine and compassionate patient care. We're proud of those standards and of the team that brings them to life every day.
Compensation, Schedule & Benefits
We believe taking care of our team means respecting their time, supporting their well-being, and providing opportunities to grow.
Compensation: $26–$30 per hour
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday–Friday only
- No weekends!
- Generally predictable scheduling with alterations as needed to cover team members' time off
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and paid sick leave
- Employee pet care discounts
- Continuing education opportunities
- Uniform allowance
- 401k
Come Grow With Us!
We're not just looking to fill a position. We're looking for someone who will become a valued part of a team we've worked hard to build.
If you're passionate about veterinary medicine, enjoy helping others succeed, and want to work alongside people who care as much about each other as they do their patients, we'd love to meet you.
