About You
You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our
precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of
facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support
services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills
• Veterinary technician licensure required
• 1-2 years of clinical experience
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary
technology program preferred; or the equivalent combination of education,
training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and
abilities.
SAVES is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician - Emergency Department to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About The Hospital
South Atlanta Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (SAVES) Center is a 24/7 emergency and specialty center located in Fayetteville, Georgia, focusing on strong referral relationships and providing emergency and specialty services to the Southern Atlanta community.
Our hospital has a fast-paced, team-first environment where empathy drives every decision and joy shows up even on the hardest shifts. We serve a diverse client base of emergency walk-ins and specialty referrals who trust us with their pets during some of the most critical moments of their lives. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care through accountability, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to each other and the animals we treat. Urgency, adaptability, and a thick skin with a big heart are all equally important here.
We are open 24/7 for emergency services and by appointment for specialty departments, serving the Southern Atlanta community.
You’re Willing And Able To
• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and
educate clients
• Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and
maintain positive patient flow
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's
Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer
guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional
treatments
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the
support of practice systems
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain
medical charts
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean,
sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay
rate starting at $20 - $25/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide
range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
