Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Overnight Hospitalization (Cats Only)
Full-Time | 3 x 13-hour shifts | Just Cats Clinic | Reston, VA

 
$40/hour + 3-night work week + no ICU chaos (for Licensed Veterinary Technicians)

$30/hour + 3 -night work week + no ICU chaos (for Assistants)

Care for stable hospitalized cats with a capped caseload and strong doctor support.

 
Just Cats Clinic is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for our overnight hospitalization team. This role is focused on monitoring and caring for stable patients overnight in a structured, well-supported environment.

 
What You’ll Do
Monitor and care for hospitalized feline patients overnight
Administer medications, fluids, and treatments per established plans
Monitor vitals, pain scores, and patient comfort
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
Communicate with the on-call veterinarian as needed (primarily phone-based support)
Ensure a clean, organized, and low-stress environment for patients
 
Patient Load
Stable patients only (no ICU/critical cases)
Maximum of 6 hospitalized patients overnight
 
Schedule
Full-Time: 3 x 13-hour overnight shifts
Clinic open 365 days/year
Rotating weekends and holidays
 
Compensation
$40/hour for Licensed Veterinary Technicians

$30/hour for Assistants

Requirements

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) minimum of 2 years of ER experience
Comfortable with hospitalized patient care and monitoring
Strong attention to detail and independent decision-making
Calm, organized, and able to manage overnight workflow
