     The Peninsula Animal Referral Center is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented experienced, positive full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician for our emergency department. Applicants must have strong communication skills, an energetic attitude, empathy, and enthusiasm for helping clients and patient alike.  Must have 1-3 years’ experience.

LVTs earn $25-$30/hr depending on experience. We offer health, vision, dental, life insurance, continuing education, Simple IRA, PTO, and many additional benefits. Full time hours are Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday 8am-8pm.

Our LVTs will be responsible for a variety of duties include but not limited to, execute laboratory tests, assist Veterinarian in Surgery, patient monitoring and care, administering and logging controlled drugs, emergency triage, client communication and education, supervised euthanasia, and staff training.

     Our 12,000 sq ft emergency & referral center is located between historic Williamsburg and the Virginia Beach/Norfolk metropolitan area. Enjoy a 3 days work week! Amenities of this state-of-the-art facility include extensive monitoring and diagnostic equipment, and digital radiography.  The recently remodeled emergency practice is in a separate area of the referral center and has enjoyed strong support from area practices for the past 50 years.  Specialty practice includes a Dermatologist, Ophthalmologist, and Surgeon.
