Burton Creek Veterinary Clinic in beautiful Tahoe City is looking for an experienced, compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. What You Will Do

As a core member of our medical team, your advanced skills will be highly valued and utilized every day. Your responsibilities will include:

Anesthesia & Surgery: Administering and monitoring anesthesia, assisting in specialty soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, dentistry, emergency care and managing pre- and post-op patient care.
Diagnostics: Performing digital radiography, dental imaging, cystocentesis, blood draws and in-house/ reference lab testing.
Patient Care: Administering medications, managing IV fluid therapy, and providing critical care nursing.
Client Education: Communicating clearly with clients about treatment plans, pre-operative instructions, discharge instructions, and preventative care.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

Credentials: Current California RVT license in good standing / Veterinary Technician Specialist  (VTS) credentials.  Additional licensing in surgery and/ or anesthesia is a plus!
Experience: 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Skills: Strong proficiency in anesthesia and monitoring, bandaging, assisting with dentistry, phlebotomy and client communication.
Mindset: A positive, collaborative teammate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and practices low-stress handling.
