Description

A Full time veterinarian is required with a keen interest in just small animals or mixed rural practice for a busy and growing Veterinary Hospital.   There would be a great potential to increase our large animal work in this rich agricultural area, and there is increasing small animal work as the area grows.  We would be happy to employ 2 veterinarians.

 Dardanup is a very pleasant town on the urban/rural edge of greater Bunbury, 170 km from Perth, with local freeway access. It is a scenic and increasingly popular area attracting residents for the slightly quieter lifestyle adjacent to the sporting, educational, shopping and health facilities that Bunbury offers. We are at the gateway of the picturesque Ferguson Valley.

The small animal component grows above 90% of the work, but we have always done cattle, sheep  and alpaca work with some equine work also.

Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to perform consultations , surgery radiography, case workup, emergency and critical care. They will work through a variety of challenging and complex medical and surgical cases whilst being supported  by an experienced team of veterinary nurses and veterinarians. After-hours work is negotiable , although not required. A graduate would be considered and assisted , although experience is preferred .Large animal work would include farm visits.

A Bachelor of Veterinary Science  or other equivalent qualification is required. At least 1 year of experience is required (University Placement year is included), including eligibility for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Western Australia .
