You'll work alongside a highly skilled specialty and emergency team in a state-of-the-art 24/7 referral hospital with advanced diagnostics, modern equipment, and strong interdepartmental collaboration. As a Critical Care Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to manage complex, high acuity cases while working closely with emergency, specialty, and ICU teams.

In your day to day, you will:
• Manage high acuity emergency and ICU patients, including triage and stabilization
• Lead or participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to protocol development
• Perform advanced therapies such as mechanical ventilation and high flow oxygen based on available equipment
• Support program growth initiatives such as blood bank services or residency development
• Engage in ongoing CE and mentorship opportunities, including POCUS and echocardiography training
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations
• Contribute to a positive, team focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning
What You Bring
• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure
• Board Certification in Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC)
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client centered approach
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, mentorship, and advancing specialty medicine
• Interest in contributing to program development and advancing critical care services
