After Hour Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Administrator to lead our dedicated team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinary leader who is passionate about building high-performing teams, creating an exceptional workplace culture, and driving operational excellence while supporting outstanding patient care.
About You
As the Veterinary Hospital Administrator, you'll play a critical leadership role in the success of the hospital. You'll foster a positive, collaborative culture built on trust, accountability, and open communication while partnering closely with our medical leadership to support both our people and our patients.
You're a strategic thinker who enjoys developing teams, solving problems, and creating systems that improve the client experience, employee engagement, and overall hospital performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing hospital team members through coaching, mentoring, hiring, and performance management.
- Partnering with medical leadership to support a collaborative and positive hospital culture.
- Managing hospital operations, budgets, and financial performance.
- Monitoring key performance indicators and identifying opportunities for continued growth.
- Managing inventory and hospital software systems.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.
- Delivering an exceptional client experience while supporting high-quality patient care.
Compensation is negotiable based on experience, credentials, and leadership background.
Experience & Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of veterinary hospital management or leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent leadership experience
- CVPM designation encouraged
- Experience managing a multi-doctor veterinary hospital
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and P&L management
- Proven leadership, coaching, hiring, and team development skills
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities
- Commitment to exceptional client service
- Strong Excel and computer proficiency
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and more with assistance
