Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists - North Scottsdale is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our 24-hour Emergency and Specialty hospital. What You’ll Do

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a critical role in patient care by:

• Supporting veterinarians during emergency and critical care cases
• Delivering advanced nursing care and emergency first aid to injured or critical patients
• Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical and post-operative care
• Preparing patients and instruments for emergency procedures and surgeries
• Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, including BP, ECG, SpO₂, and EtCO₂
• Collecting laboratory samples and performing in-house diagnostics
• Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records
• Supporting smooth patient flow through admissions, treatment, and discharge
• Maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment, exam, and lab areas
• Using safe restraint techniques and following established protocols
• Supporting and mentoring fellow team members as needed

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

• 2+ years of emergency veterinary technician experience
• ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged
• Strong experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting
• Comfort monitoring anesthetic patients (ASA I-III; ASA IV-V preferred)
• Familiarity with ventilators preferred
• Excellent clinical observation, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced emergency situations
