Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists - North Scottsdale is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our 24-hour Emergency and Specialty hospital. This role is ideal for ER technicians who thrive in high-acuity environments and value teamwork, strong medical standards, and opportunities to continue growing their skills.

What You’ll Do
As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a critical role in patient care by:
- Supporting veterinarians during emergency and critical care cases
- Delivering advanced nursing care and emergency first aid to injured or critical patients
- Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical and post-operative care
- Preparing patients and instruments for emergency procedures and surgeries
- Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, including BP, ECG, SpO₂, and EtCO₂
- Collecting laboratory samples and performing in-house diagnostics
- Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records
- Supporting smooth patient flow through admissions, treatment, and discharge
- Maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment, exam, and lab areas
- Using safe restraint techniques and following established protocols
- Supporting and mentoring fellow team members as needed
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of emergency veterinary technician experience
- ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged
- Strong experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting
- Comfort monitoring anesthetic patients (ASA I-III; ASA IV-V preferred)
- Familiarity with ventilators preferred
- Excellent clinical observation, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced emergency situations
