Practice Quality Surgery & Anesthesia in a Compassion-First GP Hospital

Animal Clinic Del Rancho is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative general practice team. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys anesthesia and surgical support, values teamwork, and wants to deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive, community-based hospital.

What You’ll Do

As a Surgery Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a key role in patient care by:

• Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures
• Providing anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
• Supporting post-operative recovery and patient monitoring
• Assisting veterinarians during in-room appointments and procedures
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintaining accurate medical records and patient histories
• Ensuring clean, organized, and sterile treatment, exam, and surgical areas
• Using safe restraint techniques and following hospital protocols
• Collaborating closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
• Supporting smooth patient flow from admission through discharge

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

• 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience
• Surgery and anesthesia experience required
• Strong technical and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced GP environment
• Commitment to low-stress handling and compassionate patient care

Credentials

• CVT / LVT / RVT / LVMT strongly encouraged to apply
