Veterinary TechnicianCypress Creek Pet Care
Cedar Park, TX
Full-time: 4 day, 10 hour shifts with a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month.
About You
You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including intake and discharging patients.

Role Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient histories, record vital signs, and communicate key care details to the veterinary team.
- Assist veterinarians with exams, outpatient treatments, patient intake, discharge, and client communication.
- Provide compassionate nursing care, patient handling, and general animal husbandry.
- Collect diagnostic samples, perform in-house laboratory testing, and support diagnostic imaging.
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian.
- Prepare patients, instruments, and treatment areas for surgery and procedures.
- Place and maintain IV catheters, assist with anesthesia support, and monitor patients during and after surger.
- Maintain accurate medical records, patient notes, and treatment documentation.
- Clean and sterilize cages, instruments, treatment areas, and equipment.
- Maintain supplies and equipment while following safety standards and hospital policies.
- Other tasks as assigned
Experience & Skills:
- 1+ year of experience as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical veterinary setting.
- Licensed Veterinary Technician preferred, but experienced non-licensed Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, basic drug calculations, medication administration, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Knowledge of cytology, in-house laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, animal behavior, and patient handling.
- Comfortable using hospital software, documenting accurate patient notes, and communicating care details clearly.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Self-motivated team player who stays organized in a fast-paced veterinary hospital and is passionate about patient care.
