Veterinary Technician

We are a small, non-corporate veterinary practice looking for a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our growing team.

What You'll Do
As a Veterinary Technician, you will work closely with our veterinarian and support the team in providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with examinations and appointments
Collecting and processing laboratory samples
Drawing blood and placing/monitoring IV catheters
Administering medications and vaccinations as directed
Taking and developing/processing radiographs
Monitoring patients during procedures and recovery
Assisting with surgical and dental procedures, as applicable
Providing nursing care and monitoring hospitalized patients
Maintaining clean, organized treatment and patient-care areas
Educating clients about medications, nutrition, preventative care, and at-home treatment
Communicating compassionately and professionally with clients and coworkers
Helping with the day-to-day needs of a busy veterinary practice
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting
Is comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
Is compassionate, patient, and genuinely cares about animal welfare
Works well independently as well as part of a small team
Has strong communication and organizational skills
Is dependable, punctual, and willing to jump in wherever needed
Is comfortable in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Treats clients and coworkers with kindness and respect
CVT/LVT/RVT credentials are a plus, but we are happy to consider experienced veterinary assistants or technicians who are eager to continue learning and growing.
